RZC. My guess is you’re cutting and pasting and it is screwing up the characters somehow. GNOME_KEYRING and DIRNAME have a “`” in the line (that’s the single apostrophe like character under the ~ on a US keyboard). The awk command uses an apostrophe though.

Can you be a bit descriptive about how you got this working? Below are my results; the TweetDeck application is located at /opt/TweetDeck/bin/TweetDeck

Please help. XFCE is a keeper except for this.

Doh… Never mind I got it working, re-wrote the script and it cam to life, not sure what I was doing before.

I was unable to gt this to work, I’m getting:
awk: 1: unexpected character 0xe2
tweetstart.sh: line 6: ”.”/TweetDeck: No such file or directory

I’m obviously doing something wrong or have not set something correctly.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
